As one of the smaller areas in New Jersey, Clark real estate offers new homeowners a small-town atmosphere with city-like amenities. It consists only a few neighborhoods and several parks.
Raritan Road is primarily compromised of medium-sized to small single family homes. Although there are newer homes, many of the houses in this area were first built between the 1940s and the 1990s. Interestingly, the Raritan Road neighborhood has one of the highest percentages of people with Italian or Ukrainian ancestry of any location in America.
Another premier place to buy real estate in Clark, the Lake Avenue has the same ethnic diversity as Raritan Road. Many people in the area may speak Spanish, Polish, Portuguese and Italian as a first or second language. Popular for its many amenities, Lake Avenue is a decent commute for anyone who works in New York City. Surprisingly, one-quarter of residents commute for less than 15 minutes a day to get to work. This low commute time is due to excellent public transportation and the layout of the neighborhood.

Individuals who live in the area statistically place a high value on education and tend to be more established than people of other cities. Almost a quarter of the workforce in the area is employed in office or administrative support. Second and third on the list of employment options includes sales jobs and management occupations.
